NEEMACH MATA TEMPLE AND KARNI MATA TEMPLE

NEEMACH MATA TEMPLE –

Located on the hill on the banks of Fateh Sagar, this temple is built 800m above sea level.  Shree Nimcha Mata is the clan goddess of the royal family of the maharanas. The Temple has a shikhar; outside the inner temple is a Hawan Kunda for performance of Yojna, around is the circumambulatory path. The Temple is on a high top and its building is again of a ponderous height. The captivating beauty of the temple draws multitudes of Udaipur Travels to pay their homage to the deity here. Opening and closing times of the Temple are fixed. Pooja is performed as prescribed by the scriptures in accordance with the Shakta cult traditions. Aarati and Bhajans are sung and lustred Lamps are lit. The lights are waved around the deity and the devotees at this pooja time admire their luck for having got a chance of this. On festivals days the pooja celebrations of Neemach Mata are held with great enthusiastic favour. Its beauty strikes us with wonder this is the Vaishno Devi Temple of Mewar. People have a strong faith in the miraculous power of the deity. This is therefore, a center of people’s faith. Local Udaipur Travels and tourists come to the temple every day in large numbers. On Navaratas of Chaitra and Ashwin, Dipawali, Dashhera, and others festivals days, programmes, Bhajan singing and various other observance are held.




KARNI MATA TEMPLE –

Located near Doodh Talai lake on Machla Magra hill this temple is loves and followed by many hindus. It enshrines the stone idol of Mata Karni. From the temple, one can get a beautiful view from the top of the temple as well as while climbing up the temple. It is approximately 24 km away from the airport and about 3 km away from the bus depot and railway station. It is built near the centre of the city. This temple can also be visited by senior citizens via the ropeway facility provided. The walk to this temple is pollution free as no vehicles are allowed to enter in the hill boundary. The visit to this temple will give you magnificent and beautiful view of the entire city. The view from the ropeway is worth going. This temple was built by the businessman Kailash Khandelwal in collaboration with UIT in 2008. The cable car or ropeway is called Gondola meaning the compartment that is suspended from an airship and it is used for personnel transportation. It is beautifully decorated in the night by lights on the stairway which gives a splendid view. The timing forthe visit to this temple is from morning 9 to evening 9. The tickets are minimal:

Adults 72 and children 36 (Indians)

Adults 300 and children 150 (Foreigners)
