Needless to say this, but Udaipur already has a lot for its visitors every single season of the year, but there is definitely something about rains that is so magical and mesmerizing that you cannot resist the sight of raindrops falling and rolling through your window panes while you gaze outside and see powerful and majestic lakes and mountains both at the same time and kiss the sight of sun going gradually into the blues of the lakes and that exactly friends is the time when you bow down to the almighty and be grateful for his artistic creativity as the sound of nearby enchanting prayers and azaan amaze act as a music to the ears.

All this described above is not just the words written but the actual picture of the CITY OF LAKES – UDAIPUR especially during the rainy season when the showers of blessings fall on and around you. There is not a single corner of Udaipur is does not give bright shades of colours during monsoons but still the places listed below are the top 5 places which you should spare time for and come and visit in Udaipur before the rains cease to fall.

1 – THE MONSOON PALACE (SAJJANGARH)

Just as the name suggests, the Monsoon Palace more commonly known as the Sajjangarh Palace in Udaipur stands totally on its name and is one of the favourite places for the locals during monsoons as well as it is centre of attraction for the tourists as well.

Maharana Sajjan Singh built this fairy-tale palace in the late 19th century initially as a hunting lodge 3100 mtr above sea level but later on just like any other person would have, he got mesmerized by this palatial beauty and decided to use it as a place to visit especially during monsoons just so as to enjoy the abode of clouds coming on top of the Monsoon Palace during Monsoons.

2 – PANNA BOAT MUSEUM

Located in the Goverdhan Sagar lake of Udaipur, Panna Boat Museum is nothing like a museum as such but moreover it is an epitome created in the memory of PANNA DHAY who sacrificed her son to save the royal  blood of Mewar, Maharana Pratap and also is responsible for the glory of Mewar for which it is very well known now.

Panna Boat Museum deserves special attention from the local crowds as well as from the tourists who can come to visit it in whichever way they like be it like a museum or like an architectural marvel as the museum is boat shaped and built on the banks of the Goverdhan Sagar lake in Udaipur or like a person who is very much interested in the history and its tragedies while enjoying the scenic beauty and picturesque location nearby.

3 – NEEMUCH MATA TEMPLE

Sometimes we should communicate our gratefulness for the small and simple things like the scent of the rain, the taste of your favorite food, or the sound of a loved one's tone. And what can be a better time of doing so when there are showers of blessings falling all around you with a tint of godliness surrounding you in the amazingly placed NEEMUCH MATA temple in Udaipur. This memorial is dedicated to Neemuch Mata Devi. There is also a statue of the Hindu deity Lord Ganesha and three west-facing lions made of rock. The temple is located on the top of a green hill in Udaipur and leaves everyone spellbound with the aerial view of the city of lakes – Udaipur.

This landscape is quite rare to find anywhere else but in Udaipur as it always has been magical so is the Vaishno -Devi of Udaipur – The Neemuch Mata Temple. The temple and the stone idol is well-known to have a bond with a Neem tree which gives it the unique name NEEMUCH. It is believed that one who visits the temple recurrently will never get any skin problems due to the divine soul of the tree.

For reaching Neemuch Mata  temple you would have to ascend the colossal height of 850 meters and can only reach the peak if on foot. Both the stairs and pathway is available to walk up. The complete way is covered with innate peak forest and lush foliage which makes the tough journey easily accessible. The hard-hitting walk and fresh natural air helps people keep fit. The feel you get when you are at the top of hill is unmatched, and the whole of Udaipur under your feet and the pure and life giving aura of the space.
