1 RAJIV GANDHI PARK –
Rajiv Gandhi Park is one of the biggest park in Udaipur, that is united
with a huge food-court, gardens, fountains and a children’s park. This garden
is dedicated to our late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi; hence a huge statue of
him is placed on the peak of the Rajiv Gandhi Garden. There is a special
children’s space allotted in the garden that contains various slides that are
absolutely safe for a child. The slides include swings, basic slides, merry-go
round, spider-web etc. these slides are well-maintained and hence the children
love to spend their fun time at the children’s park available in the Rajiv
Gandhi Garden. Various statues depicting wildlife are installed across the
garden; you can easily spot some deer drinking water from the fountain area or
leopards and lions guarding the garden from the heights. The statues give an
important message of preserving the wildlife, and treating them with all our
affection and care.

2 SAHELIYON KI BARI –
Saheliyon Ki Bari was laid for a group of forty-eight this garden is
located on the banks of Fateh Sagar Lake, presenting a green retreat in the dry
lands of Rajasthan. Garden of maids was built from 1710 to 1734 by Maharana
Sangram Singh for the royal ladies. As per the legends, the garden was designed
by the king himself and he presented this garden to his queen. Actually, the
Queen was accompanied by 48 maids in her marriage. To offer all of them
pleasurable moments away from the political intrigues of the court, this garden
was made. This patterned garden used to be the popular relaxing spot of the
royal ladies. The queen with her maids and female companions used to come here
for a stroll and spend their time in leisure. Saheliyon-ki-Bari is a major
garden and a popular tourist space in Udaipur in Indian state of Rajasthan. It
lies in northern part of the city and has fountains and kiosks, a lotus pool
and marble elephants. There is also a small museum here.

3 JAISAMAND LAKE –
Famed for being Asia’s second largest artificial lake, Jaisamand was
formerly known as Dhebar and owe its establishment to Maharana Jai Singh in the
year 1685. The summer manor belonging to the queens of Udaipur frames the
picture perfect backdrop of the lake besides the six marble built memorials on
its causeway. The mesmerizing lake boasts of an arresting palace on its
northern side along sides a courtyard followed by the 12 pillared marquees
offering a commanding view of the overlooking Jaisamand Lake with its pomp. Close
within the vicinity, there lies the Jaisamand sanctuary teeming with a
multitude of wildlife that was once the hunting site to the Mewars. Witnessing
the rare migratory birds flocking to this hub of wildlife is one of the primal
things to do when in Jaisamand. Proud for being part of the Heritage Monuments
of India, the marble dam of Dhebar Lake is home to the famous Hawa Mahal Palace
besides the inhabitants of Bhils.
4 UBESHWAR JI –
There are several picnic spots in and near Udaipur, Ubeshwar Ji being one
of the most loved spot of all. As this spot turns paradise as the rain starts
to pour and seasonal water starts flowing in Ubeshwar Ji. As Udaipur is
surrounded by range of Aravali Mountains, the scenic quotient of the natural
places hypes, Thus Ubeshwar Ji can be well defined as a picnic location with
the admirable natural views combined with spiritual peace fulfilled by Ubeshwar
Ji Temple. A religious place with immense beauty of waterfalls, greenery,

5 TIDI DAM –

explore. One such beautiful place is Tidi Dam. Nearly 34 kms away from city,
this place was constructed by Hindustan Zinc Limited in year 1976, having a
capacity of 300mcft and 67ft height. It is a main source of water supply for
Zawar Mines. The photography enthusiasts might have really amazing shots to
look out for. This place looks magical during monsoon. Definitely the best time
to visit is from July to September. Avoid going in evening. Everyone must visit
once to this place with either friends or family. Weekends are a bit clumsy
here as you might witness a lot of crowd over here, so avoid weekends if you
don’t like so much crowd.
